Semi-Permanent aMBUSH GPO

14-18 September 2010

aMBUSH Gallery & Semi-Permanent took over Melbourne’s iconic GPO from 14-18 September with a 5 day exhibition combined with a series of art, design and fashion events.

The exhibition featured artwork & installations by Semi-Permanent Melbourne speakers CLAIRE MARTIN, ANDY JENKINS, FRAMESTORE, LEIF PODHAJSKY, UNITED VISUAL ARTISTS, BIG ACTIVE, BUCK, TIMBA SMITS, BEASTMAN & SYLVIA JI – artwork by Melbourne’s EVERFRESH STUDIO crew REKA, MEGGS, PHIBS, MAKATRON, PRISM & RON, Sydney artist SHANNON CREES and selected GPO fashion houses TRIMAPEE, ALPHA 60, FAT, TIM O’CONNOR & AKIRA. The events included the LIVE ART JAM with EVERFRESH STUDIO, the SP Launch Party, Design Sessions and the SP Closing Party.

Presented by aMBUSH Gallery, Semi-Permanent & GPO, the project was supported by ASAHI, IMAGE BOX, STATE OF DESIGN 2011 & NUTRIENT WATER and the exhibition design by MOTH DESIGN.
